"Hermione! When have our plans ever actually worked? We plan, we get there and all hell breaks loose!"
"He did not feel the way he had so often felt before, excited, curious, burning to get to the bottom of a mystery; he simply knew that the task of discovering the truth about the real Horcrux had to be completed before he could move a little further along the dark and winding path stretching ahead of him, the path that he and Dumbledore had set out upon together, and which he now knew he would have to journey alone. There might still be as many as four Horcruxes out there somewhere and each would need to be found and eliminated before there was even a possibility that Voldemort could be killed. He kept reciting their names to himself, as though by listing them he could bring them within reach: ‘the locket.., the cup… the snake… something of Gryffindor’s or Ravenclaw’s… the locket… the cup… the snake… something of Gryffindor’s or Ravenclaw’s…’"

People tell me I look mournful. They say, “Cheer up, Dan, it’s not that bad!” Sometimes I just look into space, which freaks people out. If I was ever required to do anything other than look haunted, I could. I’m a happy person.
"Right, now Quidditch is easy enough to understand, even if it’s not too easy to play.
Harry was the favorite kid and he wasn’t even an official part of the family
Because Molly knows exactly how the Dursleys treat him. There’s no way Ron wouldn’t tell her. And Molly Weasley is a Mother. She gets a capital M because she is goddamn phenomenal at what she does. When she hears Harry Potter is on the train to Hogwarts in Book 1, her reaction isn’t to be starstruck. It’s to say “that poor dear had to come here all on his own.” Molly Weasley loves harder than anyone. She loves like it’s her sole reason for being. And when she hears there’s a poor boy who has never known love his whole life… how could she not?
#do you remember when harry asked for food in fourth year#because the poor kid wouldnt survive on the durselys new diet?#i bet you anything he only asked#’if you have just some leftovers or scraps you could give me i would appreciate it’#but molly weasley was like HELL NO#and baked him like several pies#molly weasley doesnt fuck around with her children#even if she didnt give birth to them#molly weasley for life
headcanon that walburga would confiscate James’ letters to Sirius because she thought he was a bad influence. and one day during ootp, buckbeak was rustling around in her room and Sirius found a fat stack of yellowed, unopened twenty-year-old letters. for one afternoon, he wasn’t just remembering conversations with James. It was like he was having new ones.

Calm down there, anon - no need to send me the same message twice. ^^
Why? It’s easy. He’s ruined a lot in the HP films already. Mainly the characters. (GINNY??? RON? Hermione? Snape?)
He’s also cut loads of the plot and let his own opinions on things influence his film. (Come on, it’s pretty obvious he ships Harmony. And I’m fine with that
no I’m not, but you should never let that influence your film, which is an interpretation of a book you do not own.
So, overall, he messed things up a bit. I’d rather see Alfonso Cuarón or Chris Columbus for the part (I thought they did a way better job, really) or someone completely new for Fantastic Beasts. But since it’s written by Jo, I’ll be optimistic.
